| Ian has performed as a guest soloist for
the British Flute Society including the Third International Flute Convention,
Manchester, and as one their renowned artists at their 20th
Century flute day in 2001. In addition to assorted chamber work Ian is regularly
been invited to perform for Flutewise and numerous other flute events around
the country. His unaccompanied piece 'The Great Train Race' has transferred
to the large concert hall with performances at the Barbican, London &
the Symphony Hall, Birmingham. Ians compositions range from the
humorous to the ethereal and from the sight readable to the definitely
un-sightreadable, often employing an array of extended techniques which
he manages to combine in a uniquely accessible manner. His growing list
of publications such as 'Zoom Tube', 'Orange Dawn', The Great Train
Race and Hypnosis are establishing themselves as some
of the most exciting repertoire of today and are being embraced by leading
performers, teachers, colleges & students alike. |
