Born in Paris, Benoit Fromanger studied flute at the Versailles conservatoire, and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris
with such eminent teachers as Roger Bourdin, Jean-Pierre Rampal, and Alain Marion.

On completion of his studies, he won several international competitions and the Paribas Price Foundation.

His discographie includes many recordings with EMI, Philips, Forlane, Tudor, and Sony, and have received awards such as
The Grand Prix de l’Académie du Disque Francais,
and Diapason d’or.

Fromanger, a member of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, has performed extensively in Europe, the USA,
and Asia with a number of renowned orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony and the Berlin Philharmonic with
conductors such as Abbado, Giulini, Haitink, Barenboïm, Mutti, Boulez, Mehta, Sawaliisch, and Maazel.


Additionally, he has performed in many shows, other concerts, and chamber music ensembles with Jessye Normann, Carolyn Carlson, Patrick Dupont, Claude Bolling, Katia and Marielle Labeque, Maxim Vengerov, Masha Maiski, Viktoria Mullova, Gary Karr, Milan Turkovit, to name a few.
