NORDIC FLUTE Summer Class

International Flute Seminar

Göran Marcusson Gitte Sorensen Timothy Carey

Bjertorp Sweden 17-24 August 2003

Nordic Flute is an intensive Summer School held in the home of Gitte and Göran in Västra Götaland Sweden. Allowing only 14 students on the course everyone is guaranteed to play every day in either a class or a lesson. Tim will be with us for the whole week.

The accommodation, all twin rooms, is in a house next to Bjertorp Manor situated only a short walk from our home. We will have breakfast at Bjertorp Manor and lunch at the Golf Club next door. The evening meals will be in traditional Swedish style served in a relaxed atmosphere by our neighbor.

The countryside offers good opportunity for walking or biking. We will take one day out for some sightseeing including a boat trip in the archipelago around Kollandsö.

On the last night we will have a concert in an old local church, Edsvära, where students will have a chance to perform works studied during the week.

The nearest airport is Gothenburg, Landvetter Airport, where from we will happily pick you up and bring you to Bjertorp for a fantastic week among friends and lots of music.
