Kirsten Spratt

Kirsten Spratt studied at the Royal Northern College of Music as a result of winning an Associated Board Scholarship. Among her numerous prizes have been the British Flute Society Young Arist competition and the prestigious "South East Arts Young Musicians' Platform" with pianist Elizabeth Mucha.

Ms. Spratt is one of Britain's leading performers of contemporary chamber music and the recognized viutuosic flute repertoire. She has studied and performed for many of the world's leading exponents: Graf, Baker, and Gilbert to name but a few. She has conducted masterclasses and performed extensively throughout Europe and the Americas, extensively in South America, both as a soloist and in chamber music in conjunction with piano, harp, viola, harp, and guitar, and also performed at the National Flute Association 1995 convention

Ms. Spratt is in great demand as an adjudicator and educational specialist, and is a Yamaha International Artist. She has recorded with the E.C.O. and works with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia. Her broadcasts include Classic FM and Radio 4's "Womans Hour" in Britain, and she has released CD's containing standard repertoire as well as the more unusual.
