| Former principal flute of the Sao Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, Rogério Wolf was born in Campinas in 1956. After 20 years of playing in orchestra, Rogerio now a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. In 2000, he played at the 28th National Flute Convention in Columbus, OH, playing two concerts with his friend Jose Ananias Souza Lopes, where they played the Ernst Widmers "Concerto for Two Flutes". Pledged to the international diffusion of Brazilian composers, in 1999 he had a very successful tour with pianist Fernando Tomimura in Germany, Finland and Russia. |

| Considered today one of the most important flute teachers in Brazil, his work as a teacher has been developed in several places such as the Universidade Livre de Música de São Paulo and in different festivals all over the Country, helping to form new musicians. His Bachelor's Degree was taken at the Faculdade de Artes Santa Marcelina, and to improve his knowledge, he attended several Master Classes and courses abroad, with prominent musicians such James Galway, at the 7th International Flute Seminar; Jeanne Baxtresser, James Walker, Ándrás Adorjan and Pierre-Yves Artaud. In Brazil his teachers were Jean Noel Saghaard and Renato Axelrud. His discography includes two CDs for the Paulus label (below), Trio for Flute, Viola and Guitar and Music for Flute, dedicated to works of Boismortier. |
